Designer Phones

The first of these was the universally acclaimed Ericaphone. The design of this phone was made possible by the miniaturization of components and the use of plastic. It was initially developed in 1954. Since then, there have been many famous designers who have been involved in the “architecture” of telephones. Interestingly, some of the designs that were perhaps “before their time” and thus not great sellers, were not made in large quantity, but are now considered icons and due to their rarity are appreciating in value.

The price that we have quoted here is for a working telephone, which has been fully restored by our engineers and thoroughly cleaned ie it is of sound condition with only the acceptable patina/ wear and tear associated with the age of the item.
